Automate in-car routines with simple IF → THEN rules in the XPENG app. XCOMBO (also shown as X-Combo) links conditions to actions so the car responds when triggers fire. Part of the Guides collection under Software.

Think of it as simple IF → THEN rules: when conditions are met, the vehicle runs your chosen action automatically.

Two trigger types

XCOMBO supports two ways to fire an automation. The app only shows actions compatible with the type you pick.

1. Trigger in the vehicle

Use when the car is on and systems are active - events that happen while you are inside.

  • Example: Turn on parking lights when gear is set to P (Auto park lights).
  • Example: Engage rear child locks when shifting to D (popular owner setup from early XCOMBO releases).

2. Trigger remotely

Use when the vehicle is off - planned routines or cabin prep before you get in.

  • Example: Start cabin heating on weekday mornings before your commute.
  • Example: Pre-condition the battery or cabin ahead of a scheduled departure.

XOS 5.9.5 - location conditions: XOS 5.9.5 adds geolocation as an XCOMBO condition - trigger when approaching a destination or arriving at or leaving a saved place (200 m detection radius). Update the mobile app to the latest version to configure.

How to create an XCOMBO

  1. Open the XPENG mobile app → XCOMBO (or find it under vehicle controls).
  2. Choose trigger type: in vehicle or remote.
  3. Add one or more conditions (gear, time, temperature, speed, location, Sentry Mode, etc. - availability varies by XOS version).
  4. Add actions (climate, locks, screens, alerts - again version-dependent).
  5. Save and enable the combo. Test with the vehicle in a safe state first.

XCOMBOs are personal

Combos are created in the mobile app and tied to the XPENG account that built them. They run on all XPENG models with XOS 5.2 or newer, but only when that user is logged into the vehicle.

  • Combos are stored in your account - not shared automatically with other drivers.
  • They do not activate for passengers or family members using their own profiles.
  • This applies to both in-vehicle and remote trigger types.

Multiple drivers in one car

If several people share the vehicle, each person who needs a routine must enable the same XCOMBO on their own account. Example: morning cabin heat must be set up by whoever drives that day.

Workarounds today: (1) Duplicate the same combos on every driver’s account, or (2) share one XPENG login - but then manually switch the in-car profile after someone else drove.

Requested feature: Owners have asked XPENG for vehicle-wide combos set by the primary owner (cabin preheat, charging automations, shared comfort). This is not confirmed in current software - see Collaboration for community tracking.

Newer XOS releases add triggers (Sentry Mode, speed, range, cabin temperature) and actions (restore HVAC/seat settings after a combo runs, QR/link sharing between owners). Check your release notes for the latest list on your build.
