xpeng.guru is an independent enthusiast project. The site is run by me alongside work and family life and is not affiliated with, funded by, or officially endorsed by XPENG Motors. Content is written based on my own experience as an XPENG owner and beta tester, research in official and publicly available sources, and ongoing sparring with other beta testers - especially from Norway and Sweden.
Documentation before speed. I always try to find the original and preferably official source before information is published. Information is cross-checked where possible, and I do not fill in missing details with guesswork. When something is not yet officially confirmed, it is clearly marked as a report, indication, or preliminary information - not as fact.
AI is a tool; I remain the source. AI tools may help with structure, wording, translations, and the technical development of the website. They do not decide what is correct. All content is reviewed, edited, and fact-checked by me before publication.

The story behind xpeng.guru
The story of xpeng.guru began long before the website itself existed. In late 2022, a YouTube review by Wheelsboy introduced the XPENG G9 to an international audience - elegant design, spacious interior, and advanced infotainment that felt unlike anything else on the market.
XPENG was not yet active in Denmark, so interest stayed mostly curiosity. More than a year later, in late 2023, that curiosity returned when XPENG Denmark launched a G9 leasing campaign.
From test drive to ownership
After a test drive in early January 2024, the choice became clear - the G9 struck the right balance of space, comfort, and quality. What began as a leasing plan turned into a purchase: a Graphite Gray G9 with the Premium Comfort Package, delivered on 22 May 2024 at XPENG Hillerød in Denmark.
Feedback, meetings, and beta testing
From following Danish owner groups to helping others, an informal exchange of knowledge grew. In late June, XPENG Denmark invited owners to share software and product suggestions. My detailed response led to a feedback meeting with XPENG Denmark, G9 Product Manager “Hiller,” and Head of OTA Europe “Fredy” - opening constructive dialogue about real-world experiences and practical improvements.
A small owner group was then invited to XPENG’s first international XOS v5 beta program. The G9 received XOS 5.2.5 Beta on 2 July 2024, and testing began immediately - including a 3,000 km road trip through Denmark, Germany, Belgium, and Luxembourg. Much of the beta work happens in close sparring with fellow beta testers from Norway and Sweden; their observations and discussions often shape what I write and prioritise on the site.
Why xpeng.guru exists
The domain xpeng.guru was registered with a fair amount of irony. Guru sounds like someone who already has all the answers - and that is not quite the job description here. This is one owner learning in public: testing software, asking questions, and trying to write things down clearly enough that they help someone else.
The practical reason was simpler - a short, memorable URL for sharing links and notes from the growing owner feedback collaboration. When XOS 5.2.5 rolled out publicly in August, beta experience proved useful: within the first weekend after rollout, I answered more than a hundred owner questions and compared observations on my own. I did not yet know the other Nordic beta testers at that point.
Whether the site ever earns the guru part of the name is for others to judge. The hope is modest and slightly ambitious at once: that over time, xpeng.guru becomes the obvious first stop for practical XPENG knowledge - XOS, the XPENG App, OTA updates, features, and guides - collected in one place. Time will tell.
Behind that hope is a lot of hands-on volunteer work on my part: more than a thousand hours so far - and still several hours every week on beta testing, software localisation, and knowledge sharing with XPENG employees in Denmark, Munich, and China. Much of the content here would not be the same without input from co-beta testers in Norway and Sweden and the wider network around XEUG.
