ARIDGE, XPENG’s flying-car company, has won Red Dot: Best of the Best 2026 for the design concept of the A868. The company announced it on its own Instagram account on 23 October 2026: “Best of the Best. Huge shout out to our design team.”
The A868 is built to fly six people 500 km
The A868 is one of the two aircraft ARIDGE showed at XPENG’s AI Day in November 2025: a tilt-rotor hybrid for longer trips, with up to six on board and an expected range of 500 km. XPENG said at the time that the A868 had entered the critical stage of flight testing.
The other is the Land Aircraft Carrier, a six-wheeled vehicle that carries a small electric aircraft for short personal flights. ARIDGE handed one over to a delegation from Ras Al Khaimah on 20 October, as we reported.
