The first batch of right-hand-drive G9L cars has come off the line in Guangzhou. The cars are bound for Australia, and the model will be sold in 64 countries and regions. XPENG announced this on Weibo on 11 September 2026.
The G9L launches formally in China during September. The export cars therefore stand ready ahead of handovers in the home market.
The rollout in Australia
XPENG set out its Australian plan in Melbourne on 21 July. The company plans five new models within six months. Australia is to follow China closely, so customers get the cars when the home market does. The L03 is confirmed for the fourth quarter of 2026, and the NGP driver-assistance system arrives in 2027 with Australia among the first right-hand-drive markets. Two cars on the stand were also confirmed for Australia, but the details remained under embargo.

Pre-sales in China opened on 11 August from 259,800 yuan. XPENG has not mentioned an Australian price, and there is no date for the first deliveries outside China.
