XPENG became the official car and official supplier for the French rugby league TOP 14 on 19 March 2026. The agreement with Ligue Nationale de Rugby runs to 2029, so the season then under way and the three that follow.
The agreement is built on the dealer network: XPENG has 80 dealerships across France and is already represented in all 14 cities with a TOP 14 club. The sponsorship is, in other words, drawn on top of the dealer network. XPENG gets activity and visibility at the stadium and on the league’s digital surfaces at every match.
Yann Roubert, chairman of the league, said XPENG’s technological capability in electric mobility together with the company’s ambition to spread geographically chimes perfectly with the DNA of French rugby.
Norway and Germany
On 1 June 2026 XPENG became official car partner for Eliteserien through Norsk Toppfotball. XPENG calls it one of the largest sponsorship agreements the company has entered in Norway, and itself the first central car partner for Norsk Toppfotball in recent times. The activities are fan zones, car displays and events on selected match days through the rest of the 2026 season.
On 18 June 2026 XPENG became mobility partner for Deutscher Leichtathletik-Verband, the German athletics federation with around 800,000 members in about 7,700 clubs. XPENG provides cars for the national team and the federation’s teams as well as transport at meetings, with activation rights at DLV’s most important events.
Charging windows that differ
XPENG states the X9 at twelve minutes from 10 to 80 percent at up to 542 kW. Markus Schrick says of the model range that the battery fills from 20 to 80 percent in ten minutes, and calls it worthy of a world record. Thomas Rodier, marketing and communications director at XPENG France, stated twelve minutes for all models at the TOP 14 agreement without naming the measurement window.
European X9 specifications
For the European X9, XPENG states: 20.0 to 20.8 kWh per 100 km WLTP, subject to final type approval, seven seats, air suspension as standard, rear-axle steering, 800 V, up to 615 km WLTP for the front-wheel-drive Long Range and charging power of up to 542 kW.
