The car’s charging map learned to filter by operator and plug

XPENG started rolling out XOS 5.6 on 8 April 2025. The part that matters most to a European owner sits in the charging map. Stations can now be filtered by network operator and by plug type, the map shows pricing and the number of bays, and a layer highlights the nearest charge points. The algorithm behind charging stops on long trips was rewritten too.

The features arrived in 18 countries: France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Denmark, the Netherlands, Italy, Belgium, Austria, Czechia, Croatia, Hungary, Ireland, Luxembourg, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland and Latvia. Norway and Sweden are not on the list, and XPENG gives no reason. More countries were promised in later updates.

Two fixes in driver assistance

ACC brakes less unnecessarily. And lane centring gained automatic camera calibration, which according to the Danish version of the release corrects a tendency for the car to rock slightly side to side at around 130 km/h. The calibration kicks in after the car has driven a few dozen kilometres.

XCOMBO gained new conditions and new actions. Speed, estimated range and cabin and exterior temperature can now be used as a condition, and an XCOMBO can switch Sentry Mode, driver monitoring and audible warnings on and off. Combo codes pull a ready-made scenario in with a code, and they work across XPENG models. Sharing is by QR code or link from the app, version 2.37.0 or later.

The Danish version of the release carries a longer list than the global one. The range display now also shows state of charge. Offline maps can be downloaded for the area you are in, so navigation works without a network. The map switches between light and dark themes on its own. USB playback of music and video arrived on the G6 and P7 only. And scheduled climate control from the app, with up to five time slots, arrived on the X9, G6, G9 and P7.

The OTA guide explains how updates reach the car, the XOS history shows the order of versions, and the XCOMBO guide covers conditions and actions.
