XPENG started rolling out XOS 5.8.0 on 25 August 2025. It was the third major update of the year, after XOS 5.4.5 in January and 5.6.0 in May.

The Human-Machine Co-Driving function, called Copilot in Denmark, means that lane centring stays active and shares the steering with the driver instead of disengaging when the driver takes hold of the wheel. XPENG points to motorway merges and exits and describes fewer corrective steering movements. XPENG calls itself the first and only carmaker in Europe with this type of steering as standard.
The adaptive cruise control allowed higher speeds through corners and braked more comfortably.
Pet Mode
The windows close, the doors lock, and the climate control holds the temperature with external air in circulation. The app gives real-time notifications, and the mode can be switched on and off remotely.
Dashcam and cabin functions
The dashcam reached more European markets and also gained an emergency recording function. XPENG lowered the air conditioning’s minimum temperature to 16 degrees after feedback from users in hot climates. The KaraFun karaoke app arrived in the car’s app store.
The charging map and XCOMBO
The charging map’s filters gained a choice of plug type and charging speed. XCOMBO gained support for 21 languages and more than 700 basic functions, which the owner assembles on the car’s screen or in the app with suggestions for entertainment, safety, comfort and energy use, including the child lock arming automatically when a child seat is used.
XPENG said the availability and behaviour of the functions may vary by model and by local rules in the individual market.
The overview of XOS versions has the rest of the sequence.
