On 18 August 2025 XPENG marked its first year in Germany.
Germany had a good 850 new registrations in the first half of 2025 on Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt figures, and XPENG writes that this corresponds to a good ten percent of the brand’s European sales. A further 266 cars arrived in July alone.

Globally XPENG had just passed 800,000 cars sold in total, with more than 30,000 a month over the previous nine months and a July record of 36,717. From January to July XPENG delivered 233,906 cars worldwide.
The German network stood at 35 sales locations, with a target of 60 by the end of 2025 and around 120 by the end of 2027. The ambition is five-figure annual German registrations from 2027, and XPENG was building a DACH organisation with Austria and Switzerland.
The release also notes that a German customer received XPENG’s 10,000th European car in December 2024 at partner Auto Grill in Munich.
Charging times and new models
The release gives 20 to 80 percent in 15 minutes for the G6 and G9, without stating the test temperature, and five minutes of charging for 100 km of extra range.
The release also flags the updated G6 and G9 for the fourth quarter of 2025 with up to 525 kW on the G9, and the premiere at IAA Mobility in September, where the P7+ was shown in Germany for the first time with sales from 2026.
Markus Schrick, head of XPENG’s Central Europe sales region, described Germany as the birthplace of the car and one of the world’s hardest markets. He said the company was still at the beginning, and closed: “We have come to stay.”
