XPENG announced on 4 September 2025 from Casablanca that it had signed strategic partnership agreements with the leading dealer groups in Morocco and Tunisia. XPENG described the three partner countries as a connected market along the North African Mediterranean coast.

Egypt came first, in June 2024, with RAYA Auto as partner and the G9 and P7 as the first models. According to XPENG the brand topped an official Egyptian monthly EV registration table; the release does not give the month or the number.
The Moroccan partner SMEIA had, by XPENG’s description, represented international luxury marques for 44 years, held more than 30 percent of the local luxury segment and ran a network covering more than 97 percent of the population, with a team dedicated to XPENG. The Tunisian partner XP CARS Tunisia is described as a dealer group with nationwide sales and service and experience of introducing car brands from scratch.
XPENG also tied the expansion to Europe. Wang Ke, head of XPENG in the Middle East and Africa, called Morocco one of Africa’s largest car makers with a mature industrial chain, and Tunisia a strategic hub between the African and European markets because the country sits close to Europe.
Neither models, prices, launch dates nor expected volumes for the two countries appeared in the release. The partners’ service was to be strengthened through a Red Carpet Program, which the release does not explain further.
XPENG pointed to South Africa and Kenya as possible next steps in Africa.
Egypt later received the Super REEV models, and Mauritius arrived in September 2026. The markets page has the full list.
