In a release on 28 November 2025 XPENG said that car number one million had come off the line at the Guangzhou plant. It was an X9 that XPENG calls silver-coloured, and which the company ceremonially handed over to its new owner. The number plate in the photograph reads 1000000.
XPENG built the last half-million in 14 months.
The German range
XPENG had been in Germany since the summer of 2024 with the G6 and G9. The versions of the time used 800 V and 5C LFP batteries, could charge from 10 to 80 percent in 12 minutes and reached up to 451 kW for the G6 and 525 kW for the G9. The P7+ was to join the range in 2026.
The third plant
XPENG said it had built three production sites in China since its founding: Guangzhou, Zhaoqing and Wuhan. The million counts cars produced, not deliveries.
