Only 5 percent of German G6 buyers chose the cheapest version

In April 2026 XPENG set out how German buyers had split across versions. On the G6, 5 percent chose the cheapest version, the Standard Range. 40 percent took the Long Range, and 55 percent took the dearest, the Performance. On the G9, 75 percent chose the top model.

The figures hold for Germany; XPENG gives no equivalent split of versions for Denmark or the other European markets.

Registrations and sales network

Germany recorded 1,207 new XPENG registrations in the first quarter of 2026, growth of 179.4 percent against the same quarter the previous year, with 549 arriving in March alone. Across Europe registrations reached 3,200 in March. Of XPENG’s 380 sales locations outside China, 290 are in European countries, and 68 percent of the 11,557 registrations outside China during the quarter were European. The target for the year is around 90,000 cars outside China, double the 2025 volume.

Germany remains a young market for the brand. 2025 was the first full financial year, with sales multiplying sevenfold to 2,991 cars, of which the G6 accounted for 1,664. The dealer network grew from 20 locations in 2024 to 50 by the end of 2025, with a target of 110 for 2026. XPENG itself expects around 8,000 new registrations in Germany this year.

The new models came with a warranty of seven years or 160,000 km on the car and eight years on the high-voltage battery.

The XPENG G6 page and the XPENG G9 page detail the versions and their differences. Danish monthly figures are available in the registration statistics.
