11 minutes and 30 seconds. That is how long an XPENG G6 took to go from 10 to 80 percent at Clever’s new charging site in Rødovre, west of Copenhagen, half a minute inside the 12 minutes XPENG quotes under optimal conditions. The car had been run down to 4 percent first.
The test is XPENG’s own, driven by an XPENG employee, and the video does not pretend otherwise. Battery temperature and load on the site both move the number. But the clock is visible throughout, and it ran on a Danish charger in September.
600 amps per charge point
Mathias Langkilde Sukstorf of Clever points in the video to the amps as the real limit. Charge points have often topped out at 400 or 500 amps, and a car that can pull more never gets the chance. The new ones give 600 amps and up to 600 kW to a single car.
The charger is an Alpitronic Hypercharger HYC1000. Two cabinets of 1,000 kW each share their output dynamically in steps of 62.5 kW across eight charge points apiece, and Sukstorf gives an example from the site: one car pulls 600 kW while its neighbour takes 100.
The curve on the way: 16 percent after 51 seconds, 43 percent after 4 minutes 50 seconds. At 71 percent it was still taking 262 kW.
The car behind the number
The test car is a G6 AWD Performance from model year 2025, one of the two trims XPENG rates at 451 kW maximum DC power against 382 kW on the Standard Range. The 12-minute figure covers all three.
Whether it holds in practice has depended more on the post than on the car, and the XPENG G6 page still answers “not at every public fast charger”. Rødovre now gives a Danish measurement on a public charger.
More sites are coming
Clever brought the site into service in September 2026 on Jyllingevej 336, and from 2027 it will install megawatt chargers at most of its new fast-charging stations. IONITY announced back in April 2025 that it would roll the same HYC1000 out across Europe from the second half of 2025; where those stand today the release does not say.
