XPENG came first in UScale’s satisfaction study

In May 2025 the Stuttgart research consultancy UScale surveyed 5,004 EV owners in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, asking how likely they were to recommend their car brand to a friend or colleague, on a scale from zero to ten. 81 percent of XPENG owners answered nine or ten. The average across the entire survey was 50 percent in that band.

That secured first place, and it was the first time XPENG had participated in the study. Porsche followed at 78 percent, Polestar and BMW at 69, and Tesla at 65. At the other end sat Opel at 11 percent and MG and Peugeot both at 21.

XPENG scored above average in almost every category, with UScale highlighting charging performance, range and efficiency in particular.

A young market

XPENG entered the German market in May 2024, and by July 2025 had 34 dealer locations with a target of 60 by the end of the year. Three models were on sale, the G9, G6 and P7, all with rear- or all-wheel drive and several battery sizes, with metallic paint and a tow bar as the only shared options besides model-specific ones.

The German warranty runs up to seven years or 160,000 km on the car, whichever comes first, and eight years or 160,000 km on the high-voltage battery. The warranty requires regular servicing at an authorised XPENG partner.

How the German market developed the following year is described in the story on the German first quarter of 2026. The markets page shows where else XPENG sells cars.
