On 8 April 2025 XPENG began rolling out XOS 5.6. In the charging map, stations can now be filtered by operator and plug type, the map shows price and bay number at certain stations, and a layer highlights the nearest charge points. The route planning for charging stops on longer trips also gained an improved algorithm.

The features arrived in 18 countries: France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Denmark, the Netherlands, Italy, Belgium, Austria, Czechia, Croatia, Hungary, Ireland, Luxembourg, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland and Latvia. Norway and Sweden were not among the 18 countries this time; more markets follow in later updates, according to XPENG.
Driver assistance and camera calibration
The adaptive cruise control reduces the number of unexpected braking events. The lane assistant gained automatic camera calibration while driving, which corrects a tendency for the car to rock slightly from side to side at around 130 km/h. The calibration kicks in after the car has driven several dozen kilometres.
XCOMBO gained new conditions and new actions. Speed, estimated range and cabin and exterior temperature can now be used as a condition, and an XCOMBO can automate actions such as switching Sentry Mode and audible warnings on. Combo codes pull a ready-made setup in with a code across XPENG models, and sharing is by QR code or link from the app, from version 2.37.0.
The estimated range now also shows the battery percentage. Offline maps can be downloaded for the current area, so navigation works without a network. The map switches between light and dark themes on its own. USB playback of music and video came on the G6 and P7, and scheduled climate control from the app, with up to five time slots, became available on the X9, G6, G9 and P7.
The OTA guide explains how updates reach the car, the XOS history shows the order of versions, and the XCOMBO guide covers conditions and actions.
