XOS 5.9.5 gathered changes across the cockpit, driver assistance, charging, comfort and safety. The update went to selected users on 26 June 2026 and more widely from 29 June. If the car did not receive the update automatically within seven days, the local service centre could send it directly to the car’s vehicle identification number (VIN).

The full technical list of changes is in the release note for XOS 5.9.5.
One-pedal drive and safety additions
The update introduced one-pedal drive for the P7+ and New G6. The feature lets the car brake all the way to a standstill when the driver lifts off the accelerator.
The update also added a protection function that engages after an automatic emergency stop to increase protection against being hit from behind.
Cabin updates: Google data, split-screen and continuous dialogue
The cockpit received several everyday improvements:
- Google search data in navigation: Destination search in the built-in navigation draws directly on Google’s search data, making it faster to find addresses and points of interest.
- Split-screen with CarPlay and Android Auto: The display can be split so navigation from Apple CarPlay or Android Auto appears on one half while an XPENG app runs on the other. At the same time the XDOCK stays in place, so climate and sound are always at hand.
- Natural voice control: The voice assistant can hold a connected conversation without repeated wake words. The dialogue ends with “Goodbye” or automatically after a 20-second pause. It can also adjust air vent direction, child locks and wireless charging.
- Location-based XCOMBO routines: Automated actions can trigger automatically when the car approaches or leaves a saved address.
Charging and minor refinements
On the charging side, compatibility with Tesla Superchargers (V3 and V4) was improved. The battery’s thermal management at low temperatures was optimised, and the calculation of battery percentage and range was fine-tuned.
The Dutch-Belgian release note also mentioned that the heated steering wheel no longer shut off automatically after about 30 minutes, hill-start assistance was refined, headlights could not be switched off while driving, and phone favorite contacts synced automatically. Feature availability can vary between markets and models.
