XPENG is switching navigation outside China over to Google Maps. He Xiaopeng announced it at the L03 launch in Munich in July 2026.
The collaboration covers navigation for markets outside China, and the upgrade is mainly to reach most of them. XPENG builds its own navigation system on top of the Google Maps Auto SDK, so the owner need neither download the app nor mirror a phone. According to XPENG the company is the first carmaker from the Asia-Pacific region to deliver a car with that integration. On screen it looks the way owners know it: the map view and the controls are still XPENG’s own.
Google Maps’ map data is also to support XPILOT ASSIST and form the basis for NGP, XPENG’s more far-reaching assistance system, outside China.
