At the start of April 2024 XPENG announced the G6 as its third model in Europe. The car could be ordered from May. XPENG planned showroom availability in the Netherlands during the summer and European availability in the third quarter.
Batteries and drivetrains
Standard Range with rear-wheel drive had a 66 kWh LFP battery and a stated range of 435 km WLTP. The motor produced 190 kW and 440 Nm.
The versions with the larger NCM battery had, according to XPENG, a net capacity of 87.5 kWh and a range of 550 to 570 km WLTP. Long Range with rear-wheel drive produced 210 kW and 440 Nm. Performance with all-wheel drive produced 350 kW and 660 Nm and could, according to XPENG, accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.0 seconds. The top speed was 200 km/h for all three versions.
XPENG built the G6 on SEPA 2.0 with an 800 V architecture. XPENG gave a maximum DC charging power of up to 280 kW and a charging time from 10 to 80 percent of under 20 minutes.
Standard equipment
All three versions had 20-inch wheels with Michelin tyres and a panoramic glass roof. Leatherette seats came heated front and rear. The front seats also had ventilation, and the steering wheel had heating.
The cabin had four USB ports and two 50 W wireless charging pads for phones. The sound system had 18 speakers and an output of 960 W. A heat pump and V2L were also standard.
The wheelbase was 2.89 metres and the boot held 571 litres. The driver had a 10.2-inch display, while the centre screen was 14.96 inches. Xmart OS and the XPILOT driver assistance system sat in the standard equipment, and the car could receive OTA updates.
Options and warranty
XPENG listed two kinds of option: an electrically deployable tow bar and selected paint colours. Every G6 version carried a warranty of seven years or 160,000 km. Prices and further specifications were to follow later in April.
At the Chinese G6 launch in 2023 XPENG had stated up to 755 km on CLTC. The European range figures used WLTP. The XPENG G6 page describes the model, and the comparison tool shows it against the rest of the range.
