NAF and Motor ran the summer edition of El Prix in June 2024 with 26 electric cars taking part. The tested version was a G6 AWD Performance, which drove 530.7 km against a stated WLTP figure of 550 km, a deviation of 3.5 percent. In the summer of 2023 the G9 and P7 had surpassed their competitors in the same test.

How quickly the battery filled
In the fast-charging test the 87.5 kWh battery charged from 10 to 80 percent in under 20 minutes at a charging speed of up to 264 kW, supported by the car’s 800 V architecture on the SEPA 2.0 platform. XPENG noted that the result was 55 kW below the test record the G9 set in the test the year before.
Claes Persson, CEO of XPENG Norway, said XPENG has set new standards for both range and charging speed since the brand came to Norway, confirmed by the results in the summer test the year before.
The XPENG G6 page describes the model, and the story on the European launch gives the overview of the three versions and the original specifications.
