XPENG held Global Brand Night in Hong Kong on 15 April 2025 and presented the AI Tech Tree: its own AI chips, language models in the cloud and in the car, and an architecture meant to carry AI in cars, flying vehicles and robots.
The Turing chip runs models of up to 30 billion parameters locally, has in XPENG’s words three times more compute than existing solutions and was to enter products from the second quarter of 2025. The IRON robot runs the same chip and shares a vision system with the driver assistance. AEROHT’s Land Aircraft Carrier had more than 4,000 pre-orders, with production expected in 2026.
The Norwegian figures
XPENG reported more than 4,600 cars sold in Norway in total and more than 800 registrations in 2025 so far, with the G6 the most registered of the brand’s models. The charging network was 2,110 of its own fast-charging stations worldwide and more than two million charge points through partners, and in Europe the infrastructure covered 27 countries. XPENG was in more than 30 countries and regions and was, in 2024, the best-selling brand in Europe for electric cars above EUR 40,000.
Auto Shanghai ten days later
On 25 April XPENG showed its World Foundation Model, which the company put at 35 times more parameters than a traditional VLA model. A VLA model connects vision, language and action.
The P7+ became the first car with XPENG’s 5C battery, where 5C in XPENG’s own definition means charging or discharging at five times the battery’s nominal capacity. XPENG gave 420 km of range from ten minutes of charging and consumption of 12.7 kWh per 100 km. The updated X9 received 496 technical improvements and 6,000 orders in China in a week. IRON was given as 178 cm with 22 joints in the hands. First-quarter deliveries were 94,008 cars, and more than 700,000 cars in total since the beginning.
Scope of the figures
All figures and specifications applied for now to the Chinese versions only. The caveat covers the 420 km, the 12.7 kWh and the 496 improvements.
He Xiaopeng said XPENG is redefining what a car maker can be. Claes Persson, head of XPENG Norway, said they looked forward to introducing the new products and technology to the Norwegian market. The X9 was confirmed for Norway later.
Turing reached a car you can buy in August 2026. The 4,600 Norwegian cars became 10,000 in May 2026; Denmark passed the same figure in August 2026.
