On 25 November 2025 XPENG confirmed European specifications for the X9 ahead of its introduction in the first European markets.
The company confirmed charging power for the all-wheel-drive Performance at up to 542 kW. Stated range reaches 525 km for Standard Range, 600 km for Long Range and 560 km for AWD Performance.
XPENG does not state the test cycle for the three range figures. All data is subject to final European type approval, both the 542 kW and all three range figures.
Performance claims and charging intervals
The release states a peak power of 542 kW, but provides neither a charging curve nor a time from 10 to 80 percent.
XPENG also stated that no other electric car on the market on 25 November 2025 had a higher stated charging power; the release does not document the market comparison.
Equipment and pricing
The European version gained a head-up display, soft-close doors and an upgraded audio system among other things. XPENG upgraded cabin materials, redesigned door panels, reshaped the front bumper, and split the third-row seats 60/40.
The X9 was one of seven finalists for Car of the Year 2026 in Norway. The Norwegian price started at 699,900 kroner including an electrically deployable tow bar, with the car expected in the Norwegian market in spring 2026.
Claes Persson, head of XPENG Norway, said that interest in the flagship had exceeded their expectations.
