XPENG launched the G9L in Beijing on 17 September 2026 and priced all six trims. The rear-wheel-drive 702 Max opens the range at CN¥ 241,800; the 755 Ultra Flagship closes it at CN¥ 319,800. Pre-sale had been running since 11 August on a single figure, the CN¥ 259,800 entry price, and the rest only arrived now.

The number in each trim name is its CLTC range:
- 702 Max, BEV RWD: CN¥ 241,800
- 660 Ultra SE, BEV AWD: CN¥ 259,800
- 1602 Ultra SE, EREV AWD: CN¥ 259,800
- 660 Ultra, BEV AWD: CN¥ 289,800
- 1602 Ultra Flagship, EREV AWD: CN¥ 309,800
- 755 Ultra Flagship, BEV AWD: CN¥ 319,800
At the top of the range the range extender is the cheaper car: the 1602 Ultra Flagship sits CN¥ 10,000 below the battery-electric Ultra Flagship. On Ultra SE the two powertrains cost exactly the same, which leaves the buyer choosing between 660 km on electricity alone and 1,602 km with an engine acting as a generator.
All six trims were shown with an introductory offer of CN¥ 10,000 in cash, putting the 702 Max at CN¥ 231,800. The configurator opened a fresh set of option offers the same evening, running to 15 November: Fjord Grey paint and the Sahara Orange cabin free, Toscana Green and Provence Purple at CN¥ 3,600 against a guidance price of 6,000, and the 21.4″ rear screen included.
Built in two places from the start
XPENG put the two plants on one of the evening’s last slides: Guangzhou in China and the XPENG Magna plant in Graz, Austria. The company calls it the start of production running in parallel in China and Europe. Graz has been building the P7+ for the European market this year, and the G9L will share the line with it. When the first European cars come off it, XPENG did not say.
The European premiere is in Paris from 12 October, and that is when European prices and versions will be announced. The figures above are Chinese and do not convert: taxes, equipment and specification all differ here.
What else the presentation showed
Second-generation VLA got its first major upgrade, and the G9L is the first car to carry it. XPENG put the improvement at 3.5 times as many parameters running in the car, up to 30 seconds of history in each driving decision, and response from sensor to action 300 per cent faster. It also showed a single safety figure, a twentyfold gain, and a footnote defining it as the combined result of seven things, among them risk recognition, trajectory planning and handling roadworks. VLA Lite, the distilled version, is now in series production according to XPENG.
Compute follows the trim: 750 TOPS on Max with one Turing chip, 1,500 on Ultra SE with two, 2,250 on Ultra and Ultra Flagship with three.
XPENG also showed 34.2 m braking from 100 km/h, a 1,152-litre boot, and a 1,403 km run around the Lop Nur desert with no charging on the way. Trim-by-trim specifications are on the XPENG G9L page.
