The same G6 was sold as 580, 750 and 755 km within six days

XPENG launched the G6 in Thailand, datelined Bangkok, on 21 August 2024. The price was THB 1,439,000 for the Standard Range, which the release calls 580 km, and THB 1,599,000 for the Long Range, which it calls 750 km. The car is right-hand drive and sold through 12 showrooms and service centres in the country under X Mobility Thailand.

Six days later came Malaysia. There the versions are the 580 Pro at RM 165,000 and the 755 Pro at RM 185,000. Both prices carry an asterisk in XPENG’s text, and there is no footnote anywhere in the body. Bermaz XPENG is the sole distributor and Prima Maju Auto the exclusive importer. The warranty is five years on the car and eight on the high-voltage battery. The Malaysian release gives no range, battery size, power or charging figure at all beyond the numbers in the trim names.

750 and 755

It is the same car, and the two figures are six days apart. Neither release says how they were measured. That makes them useless to a buyer trying to compare.

For a European the comparison is instructive anyway. XPENG’s own European figures for the G6 are 435 km WLTP with 66 kWh of LFP and 550 to 570 km WLTP with 87.5 kWh of NCM. So 580 and 750 cannot be WLTP. What they are, XPENG does not say. The Chinese G6 was quoted at 755 km on CLTC, which is the nearest known explanation, but it should not be entered as a fact XPENG itself has not written.

An easy wrong conclusion about the warranty

Malaysia’s five years looks worse than Europe’s seven at first glance. It is not necessarily. XPENG’s European launch release of February 2023 gives five years or 120,000 km as standard, and the seven years and 160,000 km applied to cars ordered between 3 February and 31 December 2023. Seven years appears as the standing term only from the 2025 market releases.

James Wu, VP of accounting and finance, said in Bangkok that XPENG is becoming increasingly popular, especially in European countries and the Middle East. The Thai release also says the G6 will later land in Singapore, but XPENG had announced its entry into Singapore a month earlier, in July 2024.

The XPENG G6 page has the car on European terms, and the markets page has the countries.
