XPENG priced the G9 for China on 21 September 2022. Six configurations, from RMB 309,900 to 469,900, split into three series by range. Two days later a new table went out.

The new table had eight versions. G, E and X were gone, replaced by Plus, Pro and Max, and Max is the only one of the three XPENG still puts on new cars. The price range was unchanged, and the 650 versions kept dual-chamber air suspension as standard. XPENG’s own account was that the changes reflected a focus on customer experience and strong demand for particular specifications. The word mistake does not appear.
One detail in the new table is useful to a buyer. Two versions cost the same RMB 349,900: the 570 Max, which included XNGP, and the 702 Pro, which had 132 km more range on paper but no XNGP. That is a choice between range and driver assistance, not a ladder.
The charging numbers
The launch headline was 200 km of range in five minutes and 10 to 80 percent in a quarter of an hour. That applied to the 4C battery, measured on XPENG’s own 480 kW chargers in China and on the Chinese CLTC cycle. After the new table, 4C was an option, and only on the 650 versions. The rest had 3C, which XPENG put at 20 minutes from 10 to 80.
XPENG converted some of its own figures to WLTP, but not all of them. In the same release, 570 and 650 km CLTC became between 460 and 570 km on WLTP. The 702 km was left unconverted.
The G9 Europe later got is not this car. The XPENG G9 page has the current version, and the G9 model-year differences page separates the three model years. In July 2026 a G9 won a Dutch charging test with 11 minutes from 10 to 80, and that story has the measured figures.
