XPENG is moving its navigation outside China to Google Maps. He Xiaopeng announced it at the L03 launch in Munich, and the press release followed on 15 July 2026.
The deal covers cars outside China. XPENG builds its own navigation system on top of the Google Maps Auto SDK, exactly as it does today on top of TomTom in the international models. It is the first carmaker in the Asia-Pacific region to do so, according to XPENG. On screen, owners keep the view they know, because the map layout is still XPENG’s own.
The map data is meant for the driver-assistance systems too. XPENG names both NGP and XPILOT ASSIST, so the change covers both the map on the screen and the data that assisted driving rests on.
