XPENG will roll NGP out globally in 2027. He Xiaopeng and Xianming Liu said so in a video XPENG posted on 18 July 2026. In it they also described how the system is being adapted to European roads and European everyday driving.
At the earnings call on 24 August 2026 XPENG added that the company is aiming for EU approval in the first half of 2027, so that the second generation of VLA can reach more markets outside China. Together the statements point to a global rollout and a possible EU approval in 2027. The background from the results is in the story on the second quarter.
