XPENG began internal testing of its robotaxis on 15 July 2026. He Xiaopeng rode along as the first passenger, the company said the same day.
The car behind the test is not new. The first mass-produced robotaxi came off the line in Guangzhou in May 2026, and it sits on the GX platform with up to four Turing chips and 3,000 TOPS. The testing is in China. On robotaxis in Europe, XPENG has said nothing.
