From 11 July 2025 customers could order the updated G6 and G9 in Denmark, France, Germany, Norway, Sweden, the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. The New G6 also made its dynamic public debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, held on 10-13 July.
The battery and the charging
Every variant got 5C LFP batteries and an 800 V architecture. XPENG gave up to 451 kW for the New G6 and 525 kW for the New G9, and 12 minutes from 10 to 80 percent for both models. For the G9 Standard Range the maximum charging power was 445 kW.
The G6 Standard Range got a 68.5 kWh battery, while the Long Range and Performance got 80.8 kWh. They replaced the batteries of 66 and 87.5 kWh respectively. XPENG Norway gave 79 kWh for the G9 Standard Range and 93.1 kWh for the G9 Performance.
A heat pump was standard on both models.

XPENG would publish the German price for the G6 Standard Range later.
Range and delivery plans
For the rear-wheel-drive Long Range variants XPENG gave up to 535 km WLTP for the G6 and 585 km WLTP for the G9. The Norwegian G6 Performance AWD on 20″ wheels was given as up to 510 km.
XPENG’s European plan was to begin deliveries at the end of the summer of 2025. In Norway customer deliveries were announced for the third quarter, while XPENG Germany expected both models in the fourth quarter. The Norwegian G6 Standard Range was to be launched later. A right-hand-drive G6 was planned for the United Kingdom in early 2026.
Cabin and equipment
The New G6 measures 4,758 × 1,920 × 1,650 mm. The new rear end adds five millimetres to the length, and at the front it has a 1,942 mm light bar. The boot holds 571 litres, or 1,374 with the seats folded. The centre screen is 15.6″ and the instrument panel 10.25″. The Long Range and Performance got massage in the front seats.
For the New G9 XPENG gives the dimensions as 4,891 × 1,937 × 1,680 mm and the wheelbase as 2,998 mm. The boot holds 660 litres, or 1,576 with the seats folded, plus another 71 litres under the bonnet. Ten-point massage was an option in Germany. Both models have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 for the cabin and an Nvidia Orin-X for the driver assistance.
XPENG said the New G6 was developed with five Euro NCAP stars as the aim.
In Norway the previous G6 had, according to XPENG, gained more than 1,000 new customers so far in 2025 and taken fourth place in the Car of the Year vote. The company also said more than 2,300 G9s were on Norwegian roads.
The announcement of the 5C batteries describes the update from June. The G9 in WK Snelladen 2026 has a later independent measurement of the charging time.
