In the United Arab Emirates XPENG entered a strategic partnership with the dealership group Ali & Sons. XPENG vice chairman and president Brian Gu and Ali & Sons chairman Ali bin Khalfan Al Mutawa Al Dhaheri signed the agreement. XPENG announced at the same time that it would offer the G6 and G9 SUVs in the UAE from the third quarter of 2024.

In Egypt XPENG appointed Raya Auto (a subsidiary of Raya Holding) as distribution partner. In Jordan, XPENG partnered with T Gargour and Fils, in Lebanon with Gargour Asia SAL, and in Azerbaijan with SR Group.

Rollout schedule and models

Customer deliveries of the P7 sedan and G9 flagship SUV had already begun in Israel and Azerbaijan in late 2023. Under the February agreements, deliveries were scheduled to start in Jordan and Lebanon in the second quarter of 2024, followed by Egypt in the third quarter.

Alex Tang, general manager of international markets at XPENG, described the new territories as high-potential growth markets and a logical next step in expanding the brand’s EMEA footprint. In the same announcement XPENG confirmed that it was preparing launches in Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy and France in parallel during 2024.

The agreements established dedicated showrooms and authorised service centres tailored to the individual markets.
