XPENG put the G6 on sale in Germany on 3 September 2024, the day the configurator opened. It was the brand’s third model in the German market.
Prices start at EUR 43,600 for the Standard Range. The Long Range costs 4,000 more and the AWD Performance another 4,000, so 47,600 and 51,600. The 47,600 does not appear in the release; XPENG prints the steps and leaves the reader to add. Whether the prices include German VAT is not stated.
- Standard Range: 66 kWh of LFP net, rear-wheel drive, 190 kW, 440 Nm, up to 215 kW DC, 10 to 80 per cent in under 20 minutes, 435 km WLTP, 17.5 kWh per 100 km.
- Long Range: 87.5 kWh of NCM net, rear-wheel drive, 210 kW, 440 Nm, up to 280 kW, 570 km WLTP, 17.5 kWh per 100 km.
- AWD Performance: two motors, 350 kW combined, 660 Nm, zero to a hundred in 4.1 seconds, 550 km WLTP, 17.9 kWh per 100 km.
All three do 200 km/h. The platform is 800 volts, the wheelbase 2.89 m and the boot 571 litres. The warranty is seven years on the car and eight on the high-voltage battery, both to 160,000 km.
The charging figure that covers only two of the three
The top of the release says the G6 charges at up to 280 kW and that 20 to 80 per cent takes at most 15 minutes. Further down it says the Standard Range charges at up to 215 kW and takes under 20 minutes from 10 to 80. Two different powers, two different windows and two different times, and the general claim at the top is true only of the 87.5 kWh cars. No temperature or charger type is named anywhere.
The options
An electrically deployable tow bar at EUR 1,160. Metallic paint at EUR 800 in Fiery Orange, Graphite Grey, Midnight Black or Silver Frost. Arctic White is free, and the interior is black or white at no cost. That is the whole list.
Standard on every version: a panoramic glass roof, heated and ventilated front seats in artificial leather, a heated steering wheel, four USB ports, two 50 W wireless charging pads, an 18-speaker 960 W system, a heat pump, V2L and 20-inch wheels.
Why the number is worth keeping
EUR 43,600 is the fixed point every later European G6 price can be measured against. The price guarantee against the EU import duty came eight weeks before this price list, and what German buyers actually order is a story of its own. The XPENG G6 page has the car today.
