On 3 August 2026 XPENG Denmark announced that the G9L gets six seats and sits above the G9 in the range. The images released the same day came from China and were the first official pictures of the car.
He Xiaopeng gave the Chinese account on Weibo. He called the Chinese G9L, which has five seats, a flagship among large cars. According to He Xiaopeng, development began three years earlier with the aim of surpassing 99 percent of the class around 300,000 yuan on safety, technology and design.
Eight days later pre-sales began in Guangzhou. The XPENG G9L page gathers variants, dimensions, specifications and the full timeline leading up to Paris.
