XPENG L05
Coupé-SUV above L03. China launch Q4 2026; not on sale in Europe yet.
XPENG L05 is a mid-size coupé-SUV above the L03. In China XPENG will market it as the XPENG Mona L05, filed in BEV and range-extended (EREV) form. It is not on sale anywhere yet; this page collects what XPENG and the Chinese type-approval filings have published so far.

China launch Q4 2026. He Xiaopeng named the MONA L05 on XPENG’s Q2 2026 earnings call, 24 August 2026, and dated its China launch to the fourth quarter. XPENG has not opened pre-sales or published a product page yet.
Europe not announced. XPENG Denmark named the L05 to FDM in February 2026 (development code D02). XPENG has given no European market date. See Europe and Denmark.

L05, L03, G6 and G9
The L05 sits above the L03 in the same coupé-SUV family - 220 mm longer on a 90 mm longer wheelbase. Against XPENG’s European SUV pair it is longer than the G6 and almost the same length as the G9 (about 20 mm shorter), on a shorter wheelbase and with a lower roof. L03 and L05 both appeared in MIIT batch 407 in May 2026. The L03 is on sale in Europe; the L05 is on the filing record for China only so far.

Both versions share a 183 kW drive motor. Range figures are CLTC. Trim-level splits in the catalogue reflect wheel or equipment variants, not separate model names XPENG has published.

China
The L05 first appeared in MIIT’s batch 407 new-product notice on 9 May 2026. Formal approval followed in MIIT Announcement 2026 No. 14 on 11 June 2026, with battery and range data in the linked purchase-tax catalogue.
On the Q2 2026 earnings call (24 August 2026), He Xiaopeng said the MONA L05 would launch in China in Q4 2026, alongside the G9L in September and the already-launched L03 export push. There is still no XPENG product page, configurator entry or price list for the L05 in China.
Europe and Denmark
XPENG has not named a European launch date or market list for the L05. What is on record for readers in Denmark:
- February 2026 - FDM. XPENG Denmark told FDM that four new models would reach Denmark in 2026, including the L05 under code D02, with the three new SUVs assembled in Austria alongside the G6, G9 and P7+.
- July 2026 - L03 in Europe. The L03 premiered in Munich and is on sale in Denmark now; deliveries start from September-October 2026. The L05 is not on sale here yet.
- August 2026 - Q2 call. XPENG’s export focus for late 2026 is L03 deliveries and the G9L Paris premiere. The L05 is timed to China Q4 only.
- Earliest 2027. At Australia’s Brand Day (July 2026) one further model sat in a Q1 2027 roadmap slot - unnamed in the press release and with no European date. XPENG has not said when the L05 will reach Europe.

- Price and trim structure in China and in Europe
- European specification - which filing figures carry over, and whether BEV, EREV or both export markets get
- ADAS hardware and software for export markets
- Charging architecture and peak DC rate
- Interior, colour and wheel options
- Exact Danish on-sale date and list prices
